How to Use Turmeric for Adult Acne – 9 Effective Remedies

1. With cinnamon

This is a great remedy to leave overnight. Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties and combined with turmeric, it can reduce scarring and blemishes.

Mix ½ tsp of ground cinnamon with ½ tsp of organic honey and a pinch of turmeric. Mix it well to make a paste. Apply it on the acne scars and leave it on overnight. Wash off with warm water the next day. Repeat this treatment twice a week to see results.

2. With milk

Make a thick paste of turmeric with warm milk. Apply this to the face. Massage it well. Once the paste dries, wash off with mild cleanser and warm water. Do not keep this longer than necessary as turmeric can stain your skin. You can also make a mask of turmeric with yogurt.

3. With Neem

Neem is a great Ayurvedic recipe for acne, boils, skin rashes etc. It is available in the form of powder and oil. Make a paste of neem oil with turmeric and apply to the skin. Massage and let sit for a few minutes before washing off. You may use this turmeric acne mask overnight. 4. With Lemon juice

6. With chickpea flour/gram flour

Mix 1 tbsp of chickpea flour and a pinch of turmeric. Add water bit by bit and whisk continuously to make a thick paste. Apply this to the face and let it dry for 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. This is a fantastic masque for people having oily skin. It may be used daily to prevent acne and blemishes.

7. With sandalwood powder

This mask is sure to give you glowing skin. Mix 1 tsp each of honey, sandalwood powder, and gram flour. Add a few drops of rosewater and a pinch of turmeric. Make a smooth paste. Apply to problem areas and allow it to dry completely. Next, add a few drops of water to the dry mask and massage for a few minutes. Remove with cool water. For best results, use the mask 3 times a week.

8. With baking soda

Mix baking soda and turmeric with rose water. Apply this on the dry skin and pimples. Massage gently. Wash off after 5 minutes. Repeat 2 times a week.

9. With coriander juice -overnight mask for blackheads and acne

Crush a few coriander leaves in the blender. Mix the juice with turmeric and apply this mixture on nose, chin, cheeks and all other areas having acne. Leave it on overnight. Repeat 2 times a week for glowing, blemish free complexion.
